Get to know more about the habits and needs of your tiny teacup poodle before it’s too late.
Tiny teacup poodles, sometimes also called teacup tiny toy poodles, are a type of poodle that usually die before they grow up to become a good breeder – usually due to a lack of good knowledge by the owner. However, there are still a small number of people who are very keen on feeding these poodles until they reach the size of a tea cup – hence the name the teacup poodle.
Tiny teacup poodles are a kind of poodle dog which have a genetic abnormality that causes them to be tiny in size. However, this type of poodle can still grow and get bigger, after which many breeders try to combine two species of a different size until they get a new type, either a Miniature Poodle or a toy poodle.
This type of poodle is not very easy to take care of, so here are some tips on how to choose your pet and feed them properly.
1. Never buy teacup poodles from ads without having a real understanding of how to feed them properly. Feeding a teacup poodle is not as easy as you think and since this species has an abnormal genetic condition it becomes even more complicated.
2. Most of the time, the size of teacup poodle is not designated by the genetic condition itself, but due to the breeder (feeder) trying to control the food given to them, to purposefully make them grow smaller in size. This usually causes teacup puppies to become very weak and unhealthy. But when they are fed properly, the size will increase – sometimes to the size of a normal poodle. In fact, the size of the poodle may be controlled by the genetic condition itself.
3. Even if the seller allows you to see the original poodle before you buy them, it does not always means that you will get an original teacup poodle.
